Qualifications & Experience

I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at Louisiana State University, where I have received training in social work practice, clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, professional ethics, communication, and client-centered care.

My experience and clinical training have provided me with opportunities to support individuals navigating life transitions, grief and loss, caregiver stress, adjustment, emotional challenges, interpersonal concerns, and other experiences that can impact daily life and overall well-being.

I believe therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand what you are experiencing, identify your strengths, and determine what steps feel meaningful and realistic for you. I can support you through:

  • Developing acceptance and understanding of your current circumstances

  • Exploring and processing emotions in a supportive environment

  • Identifying and developing healthy coping skills

  • Strengthening communication and interpersonal skills

  • Building confidence and empowerment in making decisions and navigating change

  • Identifying practical next steps toward your personal goals

  • Developing individualized therapeutic strategies based on your needs and strengths

My clinical approach continues to develop through my graduate education, supervised clinical experience, and ongoing consultation with my clinical supervisor. Therapeutic interventions will be selected based on your individual needs, goals, presenting concerns, and clinical appropriateness.

Approach to Counseling

My approach to counseling is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and personalized to your individual goals and circumstances. I believe that effective therapy begins with creating a space where you feel respected, heard, and empowered to participate in your own care.

In our work together, I strive to:

  • Create a nonjudgmental environment where you can openly discuss your experiences and emotions.

  • Focus on empowerment by helping you recognize your strengths, values, and ability to make meaningful choices.

  • Personalize therapy to your goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • Work collaboratively with you to identify concerns, develop coping strategies, and explore practical next steps.

  • Support skill development in areas such as emotional regulation, coping, communication, and interpersonal relationships.

As an MSW Intern, I may utilize cognitive behavioral interventions and other therapeutic approaches that are consistent with my education, clinical training, and supervisory guidance.
